Global Supply Chain and Operations Leader Bill Rothrock Joins Dant Clayton as Chief Operating Officer
Bill Rothrock Settles in to Help Dant Clayton Scale its Next Chapter
Global supply chain and operations leader, Bill Rothrock, has joined Dant Clayton to lead the company through its next phase of operational goals, systems maturity and customer-focused growth.
Why Dant Clayton?
“I was drawn to the culture here, and the unique combination of engineering, expertise, customer intimacy and craftsmanship. I’m thrilled to be developing organizational systems for next level performance and growth here at Dant Clayton.”
With an extensive background in complex manufacturing environments, the automotive industry, and global supply chain management, Bill Rothrock brings valuable expertise to Dant Clayton. Here are some key takeaways from a recent conversation with Bill.

Culture Matters
“I’ve learned that sustainable performance across complex environments is mostly cultural. The strongest organizations create environments where their people and their customers are highly respected and expectations are clear, and this notion is embraced at Dant. It’s when people are empowered to solve problems collaboratively that the culture then reinforces itself.”
Building on a Thirst for Excellence
Working in the automotive industry taught Bill to be very systems oriented because the cost of any kind of failure to schedules or product was so high.
In December 2025, Dant Clayton achieved its first ISO 9001:2015 Certification. The certification was pursued to support our mantra to Do what we say. Every time.
This idea strongly supports two of the company’s core values: to be Externally Focused and that Continuous Improvement is Our Lifeblood. “The preparation leading up to the certification in December 2025 helped us achieve a 50% reduction of problems in the field.”
“The ability to talk to customers, the shop floor, and the design team and have an impact across all key stakeholders is central to continuous improvement. We are heavily focused on embedding ISO expectations into everyday behaviors, problem solving and decision-making.”
High Accountability, Customer First Mindset
“When I arrived, Dant Clayton already had a ‘refuse to lose’ no excuses mentality. This perspective is deeply ingrained in me as well, so this is another area that makes being at Dant Clayton an excellent fit.”
“We touch everything, from site preparation, interfacing with a multitude of third parties in the environment, to bring everything together. At the end of the day, we take full responsibility.”
People First
Bill believes his collaborative leadership style is a good fit for Dant Clayton’s “people first” ethos. He says that people development and team engagement are central to his leadership approach.
“In my experience, sustainable performance is built through trust, culture, clarity and disciplined execution. Operational excellence is never just about systems—it’s about people aligned around a common purpose.”
